one republic is not bad..

most of the weekdays year 5&6 students finish scoo about 4.40pm.. except Wednesday - which of course we all have our various CCA (me: interact club then drama till about 6.30pm).. so lately when there has been no drama on 2 consecutive weeks on Wednesday *due to centre stage & ptm.. i really cherish my late afternoon time.. for example today i got to actually sleep a good 30-42 minutes and watched ACROSS THE UNIVERSE - i talk about this movie later below.. and on Monday since there is no EE (yes, i have finally passed up my-personally-i-think-it-is-okay-not-bad draft) i also got to sleep until my alarm rang about 6.20pm telling me to go down for dinner.. yeah.. i really wish i got more free time during my late afternoon - with no hw to bother - tho we all know that is highly unlikely..

across the universe - it is a super artistic movie.. alienation & brechtian style is definitely integrated inside.. yes.. expensive vocab huh? for one, the director - julie taymor - happens to be the director of oedipus rex (a japan-ish theatre production) which tarts just went through couple days ago - so it's sort of ring my bell.. and i realize a lot of element of theatre inside the movie.. for one, the movie is so not real, it is musical for one (comprising all Beatles song which is quite nice, the best is: all u need is love.. all u need is love.. love love love..) lolz.. and then a lot of effect like change in colour, moving set, contrast fx inside.. but the plot is clear and well delivered.. the ending is not cliche too (to a certain limit - as the movie is cut b4 what i think is going to make it cliche) lolz..

oh well.. time to go back to my side of universe.. T_TOK
